K1A1 MBT

The Gun/Turret Driving System (GTDS) on the K1A1 MBT detects the impact of of yawing and pitching motion of the vehicle's body onto the gun and turret when actuating the gun and turret or driving on uneven road surfaces and curved roads, and enables to take aim at the target and to execute the precise fire while driving.

Elevation Servo System

This device controls the hydraulic flow and the speed of the elevation device according to the electrical signal from the electronic unit.

Elevation Device

This device elevates the height of the gun by converting an hydraulic force into a mechanical rectilinear motion.

Reference Gyro

This device transmits it as the electric unit after detecting the angular speed of the gun/turret and converting it into an electrical signal.

Slewing Servo System

This device controls the speed of the slewing device by controlling the hydraulic flow in accrodance with the electrical signal from the electronic unit.

Slewing Device

This device moves the turret round by converting hydraulic power into a mechanical rotational motion.

Feed Forward Gyro

This device transmits it to the electric unit after detecting the angular speed of the turret and the vehicle's body and converting it into an electrical signal.

Electonic Processing Unit (EPU) for Gun/Turret Driving System (GTDS)

Thie device processes the required power supply, feedback signals and commands of each sensor for each component of the gun/turret drive stabilization system.

Gunner's Steering Handle

This device transmits it to the electric unit by converting each displacement caused by the gunner's handle control into an electrical signal.
